I remember

I was only kidding baby,
of course I remember.
It was so very special,
that phone call in December.

I think about it very often,
somehow it always makes me smile.
It fills my heart with happiness,
if only for a little while.

I also think of you a lot,
I look at your pictures and reminisce.
Such sweet memories I have of us,
do you remember our first kiss?

I often smile to myself,
as I recall our first date together.
That evening was so perfect,
I wanted it to last forever.

For the rest of my life,
I will remember that day.
So I hope you’ll believe me,
